Kafo double column installation under way in North West

A lifting equipment manufacturer, based in the North West took delivery of their new Kafo KMC-3127 double column machining centre with fully programmable head last week.

Despite high winds at Felixstowe port putting the cranes out of action on Thursday, three 40′ containers were unloaded, floor drilled, machine positioned and assembled over the weekend and all on schedule.

The installation was a tight squeeze, with the overhead crane also having to be removed and re-installed once the machine was in place. Our install team will carefully position a machine into the tightest of spaces.
