Upgraded Kafo KFO 620 5AX Machining Centre – Video

Kafo demonstrates the updated KFO 620 5AX at Stuttgart AMB 2018

 

A travelling-column structure machining centre with trunion 4th and 5th axis, a working envelope of 620 x 520 x 460mm, heavy-duty roller-type linear guideways.

The precision rotary/tilting table accommodates both 3+2 and simultaneous five-axis machining, with a B-axis tilt of -40 to +110deg and 360deg of continuous rotation for the C axis.

The direct-drive Italian LCM table eliminates the need for a worm and wheel, which could be damaged in the event of a collision.

12,000rev/min direct-drive spindle as standard with options of a 15,000rev/min 40-taper spindle and a 20,000rev/min HSK 63 spindle.

Max rapid-traverse rate for the linear axes is 36m/min, and 650mm max swing.

Heidenhain, standard. Fanuc or Siemens control is also available.
