Double Column Manual Head, Kafo BMC Series
Kafo B/BMC Series
3, 4 and 5 axis machining with removable manual right angle or universal heads.
The machine bed, column, spindle-head, cross slides and table are all analysed and optimised by FEM tests. This design ensures high stability and rigidity of the machine, thus making it suitable for heavy-duty machining of all kinds of materials.
Each axis is driven by a large diameter, precision-ground, pre-loaded and double anchored ballscrew providing the highest possible accuracy, ultra-fast feed rates and maximum feed thrust. The double column machining centres with travel of over 3 metres are equipped with an integral cooling system through the ballscrew on the X-axis to alleviate thermal expansion, resulting in higher positioning accuracy.
The BMC can be used as a straightforward vertical machining centre or manual heads an be loaded for more flexibility and 5 sided machining.
